We are pleased to announce that our office is open for dental visits! Since the re-opening of our office, we have made several changes to help ensure your safety. If you would like to schedule a visit for dental care in Sierra Madre, California, we welcome you to contact us today at 626-447-8158 and ask for our dentist, Dr. Jeremy Teoh.

Our updated services include virtual consultations for your safety and convenience! We have applied the following safety measures to ensure you have a pleasant experience with us:

  • Masks are required.
  • Our team members wear gloves and masks.
  • We offer contactless payments.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided throughout your visit.
  • We sanitize the office between each patient visit.
  • Social distancing is enforced.
  • We will check your temperature as you arrive for your visit.

What you can expect PRIOR to your next office visit:

  • Upon scheduling your appointment, you will be asked a series of screening questions which will determine the timeline of when your appointment will be scheduled.
  • You will be asked to fill out a new health history.
  • You will be asked to come with a face covering and your own pen for check-in procedures.
  • If your appointment was scheduled more than 24 hours prior to the date of the appointment, you will be asked to verify if there have been any changes to your health.

What you can expect when you arrive at the office:

  • Please call us from the parking lot when you have arrived. Please have those who have arrived with you wait in the car.
  • A staff member will greet you and confirm health history along with taking your temperature with a contactless thermometer and providing you with hand sanitizer.
  • You will be asked to sign in to our COVID-19 Daily Screening Log.
  • We apologize in advance if the screening indicates any symptoms or circumstance that will require us to reschedule your appointment. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
  • You will be escorted to the appropriate operatory for treatment.
  • We will provide you with hydrogen peroxide rinse for 60 seconds prior to treatment.

What you can expect when in the dental chair:

  • For your hygiene (cleaning appointments), your treatment provider will be performing hand scaling only. Coronal polishing, ultrasonic cavitron scalers and air/water syringes produce more aerosolization and thus increase risk. Therefore, we are refraining from these procedures.
  • If you are having dental work performed, we will be using additional high-speed evacuation to assist in the reduction of aerosols. We have outfitted our operatories with these high-speed evacuators and will be utilizing them during your visit.

What you can expect when your appointment is completed:

  • A staff member will assist you out of the operatory and office.
  • If you require a follow-up appointment or recall appointment, we will work to schedule you via phone correspondence.

Additional information:

  • We would love to give you a warm welcoming handshake or hug! However, we ask that you join us in abstaining from these greetings for the foreseeable future.
  • All staff and patients will have their temperatures taken. Anyone (staff included) who has a fever, cough, shortness of breath or body aches will be asked to go home and return in two weeks, and/or encouraged to visit local testing centers for COVID-19.
  • All staff and patients are required to wear masks while in the office.
  • We discourage family members or friends from accompanying patients while in the office (except minors).
  • All exam rooms, equipment and surfaces will be disinfected before and after use according to the proper standards. In addition to the already high level of infection control standards we normally perform, we are increasing the frequency to ensure safety for all patients and staff.
  • We kindly ask that you try to use the restroom prior to your arrival in the comfort of your own home.
  • If you prefer to have an appointment via teledentistry, arrangements can be made to discuss treatment with you.
  • Walk-in appointments are limited at this time, but we will make every effort to try to accommodate you as soon as possible.
  • To help our office continue to protect you and our staff as best as possible, a COVID-19 surcharge of $10 will be added for routine dental care and $15 for procedures that will produce more aerosolization (i.e. crowns, fillings, root canals, etc) for increased PPE.
  • As guidelines are constantly changing and evolving with the COVID-19 situation, policies may be updated, and you will be notified in accordance with any such changes.

We are thrilled to be able to see you all again and thank you for your understanding with respect to the changes that we have made to the office. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Teoh, DDS and Staff
